I am grateful to God for so many things

As the hectic holidays approach, I just want to thank God I am still alive and that the members are alive. Many of us have faced multi-year tragedy and grief.  I just wanted to say that I am glad I am a Blog Villager and will continue until I can not.

Blog Village List not accepting new blogs

Due to my ill health, the top list will not be accepting any new blogs for awhile. I get 10-15 per day and NONE of them have banners and most of them are LAWYERS.

I wish everyone on the list a happy and prosperous holiday season. From Hallowmas to Thanksgiving to Christmas and New Years.  These and all other holidays bestow my wishes upon you and your family.

Update on CyberCelt's Health

Dear Blog Villagers:

My disease progresses slowly. I seem to have hit a plateau from which I may build myself back up. I have sworn off traditional medicine and am using natural supplements and amino acids and peptides.

I need to know what the members wish to do with this list. When I took over, I was gung-ho, but never rec'd any feedback from members.

With my health being what it is, I am screening new applicants about once a month.  Most of those accepted do not have a banner. I am waiting to see who is active before I make any more banners.

If there is something you would like to do with the list, like carnival, group writing package, critiques, reviews, advertising--I am open to anything sensible.  Use that Kontactr button and tell me what you have in mind.

I cannot run this list by myself as I have been.  If there is no more participation by the list, I think I will have to walk away from it.  Life is precious to spend it doing something no one appreciates.

Blog Banner MUST BE Displayed with Blog Description

Each blog on the Blog Village Top List must have a banner by March 1, 2012.  The purpose of the Top List is to display banners that readers click to visit your blog.  Blog description is not enough and is hard for some folks to read.  If you need help, ask. 

This action is to help me.  I get 60-80 entries each week.  Out of those, MAYBE one is really a blog. So, submit a banner, make sure your Blog Village banner is displayed on your blog and read and comment on other blogs on BV list.


The dimensions of a standard banner are 468 x 60

Blog Village Top List Requirements

When people submit their blog to become a Blog Villager, they are given the rules by which blogs (only) are approved.  Since this is not working, I am trying something new. 

To be approved as a member of Blog Village Top List, you must submit a banner with your entry and you must confirm your email address.

Your blog must:
  • display the Blog Village banner;
  • be current and updated regularly;
  • have at least one month of posts;
  • display your email address or contain contact form; and,
  • be written in English or automatically translate into English based on IP address of viewer

Your blog must NOT be:
  • email capture site;
  • drugs by mail site;
  • store or sales page;
  • male enhancement site; 
  • purveying pornography;
  • on the World of Trust (WOT) dangerous list;
  • lawyer's, CPA's, dentist's or other professionals' blog or website;
  • spam site written for the sole purpose of adding advertisements; or,
  • website or blog of a service (lawn care, cleaning, pool treatment, auto detailing, etc.).
 Your blog must NOT contain: 
  • advertising for brides or husbands by mail; 
  • gambling information or links to gambling sites;  
  • stock tips, advice on Forex or currency speculation;
  • information about ponzi, MLM or other money-making scheme;
  • mechanism or enticement for transferring trojans, viruses or malware; 
  •  redirects--except if you are using Blogger with your own domain name;
  • any advertising that takes control of browser (popups, popunders, sliders, etc.); or,
  • female or male nudity unless it is done in a tasteful way, as you would find in museum.

To become a Blog Villager, you must own a blog.  Blogs contain posts written by the owner(s) of the blog.  Blogs allow comments.  Blogs have archives and, usually, categories or tags.  Blogs may contain advertisements as long as they do not interfere with viewing.

I Have a Dream
When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
